On the bench under the chestnut tree on Saltwood Green, there is an engraved plaque which reads:

 

Resting Place of the Infamous Irish Juggler

JON HASSETT

Visiting Saltwood circa 2005 having entertained

the villagers and indulged in their splendid hospitality,

he made this bench his bed.

May his glorious exhibition of double handed wizadry 

be forever remembered with great hilarity.
